Stormwater
The stormwater system is designed to take rainwater from our streets and
guttering into the closest waterway. More than 300 stormwater drains empty into Port
Philip Bay. When you wash paintbrushes in the gutter, or pour oil or pesticides into the
gutter, it flows directly into our stormwater system and our waterways, putting people and
animals at risk.
More information on stormwater
pollution is available including tips for keeping waterways clean.
