EPA Chairman Cheryl Batagol

Cheryl Batagol is one of Victoria's most respected environmental leaders, with more than 40 years experience in the waste management and water industries.
Ms Batagol brings to the role her prior experience with numerous government bodies including Chair of Melbourne Water, a board member of City West Water and Southern Rural Water, Chair of EcoRecycle Victoria, Deputy Chair of Sustainability Victoria and a member of the Victorian Catchment Management Council and the Victorian Sustainability Fund Advisory Panel.
Ms Batagol is currently on the Board of Sustainability Victoria and is the Chair of the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities.
Ms Batagol joined EPA in September 2009.
EPA Chief Executive Officer John Merritt
John Merritt comes to EPA from WorkSafe Victoria, where he was Executive Director of Health and Safety. Prior to WorkSafe he was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Safety Council of Australia. Mr Merritt has extensive experience in private, government and not-for-profit organisations.
Mr Merritt joined EPA as CEO in February 2010.
