HOW WE BENEFITED THE ECONOMY

'...processes with real economic, social and environmental savings.'
Mr TROY WHITE Environment Services Manager Kraft Australia

We recognised your water and trade waste savings
We held events in Melbourne and Shepparton under our trade waste partnership program to recognise your work in achieving resource efficiency.

What we did
Since 2004, we have worked with 75 companies and 11 water businesses throughout Victoria, in a bid to achieve significant savings in water use and trade waste reduction through our trade waste partnership program.

Our aim was to recognise the work that you have done and also to encourage you to continue your work to achieve resource efficiency.

We held recognition events in Melbourne and Shepparton where your business or water corporation was presented with a certificate to recognise your significant achievements.

The Minister for the Environment and Climate Change, the Hon. Gavin Jennings, MLC, and our Chairman, Mr Mick Bourke, attended the Shepparton event.

What you said
“Applying Resource Efficiency principles across our processes has not just helped us reduce operating costs, but it has enabled us to address the environmental concerns of water scarcity that is affecting our region. It’s great to be recognised for that.”
Mr Daryl Warren
Factory Director
Unilever

“The benefits and opportunities identified from the resource efficiency study are compelling. Our products can be made with less waste generated, which in turn creates more sustainable processes with real economic, social and environmental savings.”
