EREP - Public consultation on Draft EREP Regulations

Draft EREP Regulations, RIS (Regulatory Impact Statement) and Guidelines were released for consultation from 21 September until 19 October 2007. These Regulations have now been made and EPA prepared a response to the public comments received on the draft Regulations.

Comments sought on key documents

Submissions and comments were sought on three documents which underpin the EREP program.

  1. The Draft Environment Protection (Environment and Resource Efficiency Plans) Regulations 2007 (PDF File 181KB)

  2. The Environment and Resource Efficiency Plans Regulatory Impact Statement (PDF File 4018KB)

  3. The Draft Environment and Resource Efficiency Plans Guidelines (PDF File 816KB)

Public Information Seminars designed to facilitate feedback on the draft documents were held throughout Victoria from 26 September to 5 October 2007.

The Information Seminars provided an overview of the EREP Regulations, the key requirements and timelines for the regulations,  registration and implementation. Attendees were provided with information on how to give feedback on the draft Regulations and RIS. A summary of what to expect from the EPA in relation to EREP over the next 6 months was also provided during the seminars.
