Using the Online Registration and Self Assessment System
Registration is now open for the 2007/08 financial year. Sites that used more than 120 ML of water or 100 TJ of energy in 2007/08 must register by 30 September 2008.
Sites that registered for the program in 2006/07 are not required to re-register.
To assist businesses determine their resource usage and requirements to register, EPA has developed an on-line self-assessment system.
Businesses can either anonomously self-assess resource use to determine whether resource use at a site exceeds either of the thresholds to require participation in the program, and then proceed to registration (Option 1).
Or if sites know that they exceed the resource use thresholds, they can access the registration system directly and enter company details, then resource use (Option 2).

Option 1. Use the self assessment tool to determine whether you need to register for the EREP program
You can use the on-line self-assessment tool to calculate your site’s resource use to determine whether you exceed the energy and/or water use thresholds and therefore need to participate in the EREP program.
Self assessment is anonymous and can be used to calculate resource usage for one or multiple sites. You can also save your calculations for later use, and once finished can be imported into the registration form. You do not need a password to access the self assessment tool, however if you wish to save your data you will be prompted to create a user name and password.
Go to the EREP Self Assessment Tool
Option 2. Register online and self assess your resource use
Alternatively, you can access the registration system directly and enter your company details, then self assess resource use. You will need to create a username and password the first time you use the registration system. Any username and password created during self-assessment will give you access to the registration system.
- Go to the Online EREP Registration System (a login id is required)
Applying for exemptions and extensions
The registration system also enables you to apply for an extension of the time to submit an EREP (for exceptional circumstances) and apply for any exemptions from the program or the need to prepare an EREP.
If you think you might be eligible for an exemption or exension, contact the EPA on 03 9695 2722 or erep@epa.vic.gov.au before application to discuss your eligibilty.
All applications for extensions and exemptions for 07/08 EREP program participants need to be made by 30 September 2008.
