Fee changes – 1 July 2009
New fees apply from 1 July 2009. The new fees were published in the Victorian Government Gazette Victorian Government Gazette 
( PDF file) on 15 May 2009 and fix the value of a fee unit and a penalty unit for the 2009-10 financial year as follows:
- The value of a fee unit is $11.69; and
- The value of a penalty unit is $116.82
This impacts on the structure for fees and penalties payable under the Environment Protection Act 1970 and the Environment Protection (Fees) Regulations 2001 and includes.
- Works approval applications
- Licences
- Permits for transporting prescribed waste (Adobe PDF file, 146KB)
- Septic tanks permits
- Environmental audits
- All fees and penalties including litter and motor vehicle infringements
