North East Water Sustainability Covenant
"Signing on for Sustainability" is a key theme surrounding the signing of the Sustainability Covenant between North East Water and EPA Victoria. EPA Chairman, Mick Bourke, and North East Water MD, Jim Martin, came together in Wodonga to sign the covenant on 28th November 2007. The covenant is a public commitment by both parties to work in partnership to improve sustainablity across North East Water's operational area within Victoria.
The covenant describes how both organisations will work together towards common goals of sustainability, deliver improvements to the environment and help others to do the same. It has two parts including a specific commitment to a joint project during the first 6 months of the covenant, and further commitments to realise the objectives of the covenant and the vision's of EPA Victoria and North East Water.
