Australian Industry Group sustainability covenant
The launch for the second sustainability covenant was held on Tuesday 3rd March 2009 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The event recognised the strong relationship that has formed between EPA and Ai Group to work together towards a more sustainable future with improved business outcomes.

Ai Group provides practical information, advice and assistance to help members run their businesses more effectively. Ai Group members operate small, medium and large businesses. The second sustainability covenant builds on the success of the first sustainability covenant signed in 2006. The first covenant funded 30 projects, involving 59 companies. Many of these projects have gone on to achieve broader environmental outcomes, above and beyond the original scope of the project.
The Victorian Government has allocated $3 million over the next three years to the covenant. The covenant is a responsive and pro-active tool to address the changing needs of industry and the environment and work towards embedding sustainability into Ai Group members’ core business activities.
