Getting involved
The community is encouraged to become involved with sustainability covenants through being a covenant signatory (either individually or through a representative group) or being active in covenant negotiations to help shape commitments made under a covenant. Organisations such as a local council may even consider developing a sustainability covenant to assist in improving the way it produces its products and services.
Covenants belong to all Victorians, and community involvement in their development is a key to their success.
EPA extends an invitation to any organisation that is interested in sustainability covenants to contact EPA via our information request system and open up discussions to assess whether a covenant is appropriate for your organisation and how it could provide benefit to both your organisation and to the State of Victoria.
