January 2008 update
On 15 January 2008 this webpage was updated with information about:

How you can assist EPA with further investigations
EPA is seeking community members who experienced the effects of the fire to make a report. You can do this by calling EPA on 9695 2560 during business hours. If you have already made a report or spoken to an EPA Officer, do not feel obligated to call again.
Second community information bulletin
On Friday 11th January a second community information bulletin was letterbox dropped to residential areas in West Footscray and Footscray, namely:
- North of the fire - Sunshine Road, Sredna, Dempster, Aliwal, Bizana, Cala, , Fontein, Gwelo, Hex and Indwe Streets.
- East of the fire – Cala St, Clarendon Pde, Roberts St, Waiora Pde and Acacia Ct.
- An area of Footscray – bound by northern side of Buckley St, Nicholson Street to the north, Droop Street to the north west, east side of Geelong Road to the south west, west along Barkly Street, and south along Gordon Street to Geelong Road.
The bulletin contains information from EPA, Department of Human Services, Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade and the Office of the Emergency Services Commissioner and is available for download here (Adobe PDF Format, 95KB)).
Upcoming public forum
Maribyrnong City Council is hosting a public forum at the West Footscray Community Learning Centre, 539 Barkly Street, West Footscray on Thursday 7th February, 7pm. The meeting will be chaired to ensure equal participation for all in attendance.
