Energy and Greenhouse Management Toolkit

The Energy and Greenhouse Management Toolkit, originally prepared to support the EPA Industry Greenhouse Program, provides Victorian business with the necessary information, tools, case studies and guidance to achieve real cost savings and improved productivity while reducing its emissions of greenhouse gases. It assists industry to comply State Environment Protection Policy (Air Quality Management) and in particular helps EPA licence holders and applicants for works approval to comply with the Protocol for Environmental Management (PEM) - Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Energy Efficiency in Industry.

It is also a useful guide for any business wishing to improve its understanding and management of its energy use, thereby helping it to save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The toolkit is a Victorian Government initiative developed by EPA Victoria in partnership with the Sustainable Energy Authority Victoria (SEAV) – now Sustainability Victoria – and funded through the Victorian Greenhouse Strategy.

The toolkit is comprised of seven modules, as shown below, and the content is available from the Sustainability Victoria website.

Module 2 was specifically prepared to assist EPA licence holders and applicants for works approval to comply with the PEM – Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Energy Efficiency in Industry.

Modules 3 to 7, and the supporting CDs, provide further information about energy, energy management and energy best practice, and are designed to assist businesses to comply with and go beyond the requirements of the PEM.
