To assist in the 2008 review of the Residential Noise Regulations, a story-gathering process was used to obtain views from the Victorian community. The stories provided a valuable insight into the issues associated with residential noise. EPA thanks all the residents who shared their experiences, and the councils and community groups who helped with the story sessions.

The Noise Control Guidelines include advice on addressing noise from air conditioners, construction and demolition sites, road repair and track maintenance, waste collection, deliveries, dog kennels, shops, scare guns, public address systems, mini-motorcycle circuits and helicopters.
