Dandenong South and Lyndhurst Health Study - Department of Health
The Department of Health received a request by the City of Greater Dandenong , supported by the City of Casey, to undertake a health assessment of residents living in the vicinity of the Lyndhurst landfill site and Dandenong South industrial two zone after residents raised concerns of ill health. The Department of Health committed to undertaking the health assessment in January 2010.
This health assessment will examine heath information on whether cancers, birth abnormalities or problems with pregnancy are more common in the assessment area than in a similar community.
