Grow Me The Money is an exciting joint initiative of Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) and EPA Victoria designed to improve the environmental impact of Victorian businesses. Grow Me The Money steps up a gear

Tuesday 10 April saw the launch by Treasurer John Brumby and Former Environment Minister John Thwaites of a statewide advertising campaign, directing people to the new Grow Me the Money web portal, that gives Victorian businesses of all sizes access to information, tools, support and rewards for ensuring that running their businesses 'doesn't cost the earth'.

Also speaking at the launch event were EPA Chairman Mick Bourke, VECCI CEO Neil Coulson, Grow Me the Money Program Director Kate Nicolazzo and Nick Rowley, former Senior Policy Adviser on Sustainability and Climate Change to British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Other elements of the Grow Me the Money campaign that were announced at the launch included:

  • a series of regional stakeholder forums to run throughout 2007 educating businesses around Victoria about Grow Me The Money and how to improve their environmental performance and save their business money
  • latest statistics from a recent survey tracking the environmental attitudes and practices of Victorian businesses
  • a recognition program to acknowledge the effort and achievement of participating businesses.
