EPA 2008 Clean Air calendar competition

Students from Prep through to Year 8 at Victorian schools were invited to participate in EPA's calendar competition.

The artwork we received for the competition showed that students have a great understanding of the causes of air pollution, including greenhouse gases, and how simple changes to everyday actions can have a positive effect on the quality of the air we breathe; and the health of our planet.

The 14 illustrations selected as winners will help to create a special calendar that reflects the environmental values of a very important sector of our community – our children.

Thank you to all schools that participated and congratulations to the winners!

As the judges commented, “with such a huge field of creative and artistic entries selecting the winners was a very difficult task.  We hope you enjoy the artwork as much as we did.”

On Monday 3 December Mick Bourke, EPA Chairman, will present the winners with their prizes and officially launch the calendar.
