EPA’s 2010 calendar competition is now running and students are invited to submit artwork that
shows ways we can sustain the planet by minimising the use of resources.
Following class discussion around the environmental theme of ‘Being resourceful’, students are asked to present their thoughts and ideas in illustration form.
Water conservation, public transport, recycling to minimise waste and alternative energy use are all ways of ‘Being resourceful’ to improve our environment.
The competition is open to Victorian primary school students and year 7 and 8 secondary students.
Illustrations selected as winners in the competition form EPA’s calendar – a
valuable tool in communicating environmental messages in schools, homes and workplaces.
