Recycled water for drought relief
There is significant interest within Victoria for using recycled water (treated water from sewerage treatment plants) in times of drought. To assist water authorities and their potential customers develop drought relief schemes, EPA has prepared an information bulletin and accompanying protocols.
Framework for alternative urban water supplies - phase 1
The State Government has released the discussion paper A Framework for Alternative Urban Water Supplies, which looks at how Victorians can make use of alternative water supplies safely and sustainably. It proposes a new framework of guidance and regulation to support the safe and sustainable use of rainwater, stormwater, greywater and recycled sewage effluent.

Framework for alternative urban water supplies - phase 2
The State Government has released two discussion papers, A Framework for Alternative Urban Water Supplies: Industrial Water and A Framework for Alternative Urban Water Supplies: Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR), which present new frameworks of guidance and regulation to support the safe and sustainable use of Industrial Water and Managed Aquifer Recharge.
