Middle Yarra
The Middle Yarra section commences at Warrandyte Gorge and extends to Dights Falls in Kew. Land use close to the river is dominated by recreation and parks. However, the broader catchment becomes increasingly urbanised as you move downstream. Greater urbanisation is associated with an increase in hard surfaces, which increases runoff and stormwater inputs to the River. Stormwater enters the Yarra through a number of tributaries in this section, including Diamond Creek, Plenty River, Gardiners Creek and Merri Creek, and through a number of large stormwater drains throughout the section.
