Information for waste producers, transporters and receivers
The EPA Interaction Portal and electronic waste transport certificates (WTCs) will not be available. You will not be able to generate, print or complete waste transport certificates during an outage.
If you are moving prescribed industrial waste (PIW) over these weekends you are still required to use WTCs.
If you are planning to move PIW during the scheduled outage you are advised to create a WTC to Part B Draft stage or submit Part B before the outage, and print a copy of the pre-created WTC for your waste transporter and receiver. The certificates can then be completed using the Interaction Portal once the system becomes available.
In the event that you do not have a pre-created waste transport certificate available and you must move prescribed industrial waste, up to three emergency certificates per business will be available by contacting the EPA Contact Centre on 1300 372 842 (1300 EPA VIC). Completed emergency certificates must be returned to EPA via email within seven days.
