Waste Tracker is EPA's new system which will replace waste transport certificates. It’s designed to track transaction information about reportable priority waste.

Using Waste Tracker

You can access Waste Tracker via the new EPA Portal when it launches in 2021. As we get closer to the launch, we’ll give you more information about:

  • how to set up a new account
  • how current portal users can access the new system.

Attend the Waste Tracker webinar

You can register for a webinar that we will be holding on 23 February 2021. The webinar will provide an introduction to Waste Tracker, and there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

Use Waste Tracker through the EPA Portal

Producers, transport companies and their drivers, receivers and accredited consigners can use the web portal to:

  • create waste records
  • assign waste to specific drivers (transporters only)
  • receive waste (receivers only)
  • reject waste.

You will need

  • a portal account
  • a computer or mobile device
  • internet access
  • a web browser (Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge).

Use the Waste Tracker mobile app

EPA-permitted drivers and receivers can use the mobile app to:

  • pick up and drop off waste (drivers only)
  • receive waste (receivers only)
  • use an offline mode to enter data without an internet connection
  • reject waste.

You will need:

  • to download the Waste Tracker mobile app from the App Store or Google Play
  • a portal account
  • internet access, to upload data entered while offline
  • a smartphone or device running at least iOS 11 or Android 8.
