Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) issued a notice to the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) requiring it to address the extent of ground contamination at Winchelsea Common allegedly caused by lead shot from its previous occupier, Winchelsea Gun Club.
As per a notice requirement, DELWP submitted a cleanup plan to EPA.
EPA has now issued a new notice requiring DELWP to implement the cleanup plan. It also requires DELWP to report annually in May to EPA on its progress with the plan.
