This fact sheet summarises some information contained within the Management and storage of combustible recyclable and waste materials – guideline (publication 1667). Specifically in relation to how to comply with Victorian environment protection laws which require duty holders to: (i) understand the fire hazards associated with their activities and put controls in place to reduce the fire risk associated with those hazards; (ii) manage and store combustible recyclable and waste materials (CRWM) in a manner that protects the environment and human health from the risk of fire; and (iii) prepare an emergency management plan in response to a fire emergency.
