EPA monitors air pollution in Victoria. We do this by measuring the air for pollutants that can affect human health. This report presents the results of air pollution monitoring in Victoria for 2021.

Air pollution in Victoria was generally low during 2021. There were instances when air pollution was high compared to national standards. This was mainly due to smoke impacts from landscape fires and wood heaters for PM2.5 and strong winds for PM10.

EPA provides hourly data on air pollution on EPA AirWatch. You can also find historical air pollution data on DataVic.
