| Background of offence or contravention | On 3 August 2023, Ayach Demolition Pty Ltd deposited a truckload of construction waste resulting from a demolition the company conducted in Templestowe. The deposit occurred at the premises of a related accused, which was comprised of a residential house and 12.98 hectares of land and was not authorised to receive industrial waste. On 30 October 2023, the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) issued Ayach Demolition Pty Ltd with an Information Gathering Notice requiring them to provide all documents relating to the demolition of the premises in Templestowe by 15 November 2023. The accused did not comply with the notice. |
