Court orders made

Without conviction, placed on an undertaking to be of good behaviour for 12 months. Further order conditions:
1. A maximum of twelve farrowing sows are permitted to be housed at the piggery.
2. Only farrowing sows and their piglets up until weaning age (28 days) are to be housed at the piggery.
3. The farrowing sows must be only housed in the enclosed sheds.
4. No pigs are to be housed in any open sheds.
5. Flushing of wastes from the flushing shed under-pen channels must be carried out at least once each day.
6. Hosing of wastes from the flushed shed must be carried out at least once each day.
7. Measures must be undertaken to ensure wastes do not accumulate in or under the sheds.
8. The open effluent drains on the eastern and southern side of the enclosed sheds must be completely covered by and from 20 December 2004.
9. The open effluent sump pit and effluent pump must be relocated to an area adjacent to the enclosed sheds by 28 February 2005.
10. A maximum of ten pigs comprising transit and show stock can be housed in the enclosed sheds, but only if the total number of adult pigs, including the transit and show stock at the premises does not exceed twelve.
11. The enclosed sheds should be maintained in accordance with “The Australian Pork Limited National Environmental Guidelines August 2004”.
12. The composting area should be maintained in accordance with “EPA Publication 508 Environmental Guidelines for Composting and Other Organic Recycling Facilities 1996”.
