How a receiver can receive waste using Waste Tracker

How a receiver can receive waste in the Waste Tracker portal.

When a driver arrives to drop off waste.

These are the steps to take to receive the waste using the EPA Waste Tracker portal.

First Log into the EPA portal.

Go to the manage waste menu and choose the Waste receiver dashboard.

If you are the receiver administrator, you'll see a list of your waste records in the dashboard.

Receiver administrators also have access to dashboard filters, which can help you to find your waste records.

On the top right search bar, enter the waste record number in the search bar and click the magnifying glass.

Choose the record from the dashboard or use the filters to find the waste record.

When you find the right record ID, click the arrow next to the record and select Receive waste.

In the waste record, scroll down to the question, Are you an administrator at the receiving site?

Click Yes. If you are the administrator at the receiving site, click No if you're a site receiver at the weight bridge.

Next, click on the magnifying glass in the permission site box and choose the relevant site.

You can also search for the site by permission ID or name by using the search bar.

A good tip to remember is that you can search for a partial name or phrase.

For example, OL0003 will search for all operating licences that begin with OL0003 When you have found and chosen the site, click Select.

Enter the Amount of waste and Units of waste.

If the waste is in packages, select Yes and enter the Number of packages when prompted.

If not, choose No.

Next click Add treatment code and find the treatment code in the list or by entering the name in the search bar, click Add when you have chosen it.

Remember like the earlier search bar, you can search for a partial name or phrase.

For example, inc will search for Incineration on land and Incineration at sea.

Next, you need to answer Yes or No about Temporary confinement.

Temporary confinement means you want to notify the EPA that you are receiving waste that you might not be authorised to receive, and selecting Yes, flags at the waste consignment has been placed in temporary isolation.

Please refer to permission condition PER WM1 for more information.

Remember to include any discrepancy information, if applicable.

Use the Additional information field to include any other relevant information you want the EPA to know.

Click Add files if you want to upload supporting documentation.

Finally, click Submit to finalise.

You'll see a confirmation screen to confirm the waste record has been received.
