Court orders made
Convicted on all three charges, fined $5,000 on each charge (total fines $15,000) and ordered pursuant to s.67AC of the Act:
1. To carry out a specified project as detailed below for the public benefit by paying the sum of $15,000 to “Merri Creek Management Committee Incorporated” within 30 days of the date of this Court Order.
2. The Defendants must provide the Informant with proof of the payments within 44 days of the date of this Court Order.
3. The payment must be solely used for the purpose of undertaking the following project (“the project”):
Merri Creek Revegetation Works at Campbellfield
The aim of this project is to restore 5000m of habitat at Galada Tamboore beside Merri Creek in Campbellfield, by removing weeds and rubbish and replanting with native riparian vegetation to prevent reinfestation of weeds.
4. The Defendants are prohibited from referring to this payment without reference to these proceedings.
