- businesses that hold a permission – for example, a licence, permit or registration
- performance reports from permission holders
- compliance and enforcement activities
- environmental audits and auditors
- compliance codes, position statements and statutory guidelines.
We update the information on our public registers overnight. This means there may be a delay of up to 24 hours before information is up to date.

Register of court proceedings
We can start prosecutions or civil enforcement proceedings for breaches of the Environment Protection Act 2017.
A prosecution or civil enforcement proceeding is a legal proceeding in Victoria’s court system. It’s a way to hold people to account for breaking the law. For more information, visit Criminal and civil court action.
This register lists all prosecutions and civil enforcement proceedings under the Act. It also lists historical matters under the old Environment Protection Act 1970.
Each record provides information about:
- the matter – for example, date, charges or contraventions, and background
- court hearings – for example, date, judicial officer, court location and date of court order
- the court orders made.
How to search
Search the register by entering either:
- name of a business or person
- court location – for example, 'Bendigo magistrate court' or just 'Bendigo'.
