| Background of offence or contravention | Mr Nasrallah was previously sentenced on 7 May 2024 to an adjourned undertaking for a period of 12 months, which required him to make a donation of $2,500 to the Court Fund as a condition of the order. EPA was subsequently notified by the Court on several occasions in 2025 that the payment had not been made within the required timeframe. As a result, EPA commenced proceedings alleging a breach of the undertaking. The matter proceeded to court due to the absence of communication from Mr Nasrallah regarding the non-payment. The adjourned undertaking was subsequently extended for a period of 12 months until 27 August 2027 for the accused to be of good behaviour and pay the donation of $2500 to the Court Fund. EPA costs were also ordered. |
