A receiver can reject grouped waste from a transporter for a number of reasons. These include:
- the amount of waste exceeds permission
- different classification or contaminants
- waste characteristics
- incorrect waste classification
- conflicts with the organisation’s policies and procedures
- other reasons which can be described in the additional information field.
Step one – Log in
Log in to the EPA portal.
Step two – Open the Manage waste menu
In the Manage waste menu, choose the Waste receiver dashboard.
Step three – Waste receiver dashboard
A list of all waste records will appear. You can search for the grouped waste record ID using the search bar.
Find the grouped waste record you need, click the arrow next to it and choose Reject grouped waste.
Tip: If you’re a receiver administrator you’ll be able to see all waste records assigned to the receiver, in the dashboard. You can find individual waste records within a group by sorting by the grouped waste record ID column.
If you’re a site receiver, you’ll need to use the search bar to find grouped waste records.
Step four – Reject grouped waste
In the Reject grouped waste screen, click the arrow next to Rejection and choose the reason you’re rejecting the waste. If your reason isn’t listed, add it into the Additional information field.
Choose any discrepancy, if applicable.
Once you’ve rejected the record you’ll return to the waste receiver dashboard. The record you rejected will no longer be visible on your dashboard.
