Waste Tracker operates through EPA’s Portal and the Waste Tracker app.

Drivers and receivers can use either the app or EPA's Portal to track waste, update records for waste transport and waste receipts. You can make transactions in the Waste Tracker mobile app without an internet connection.

All other roles, such as waste producers, can only create waste records using EPA's Portal. You can’t create waste records on the Waste Tracker mobile app.

Equip your business with the right technology

Using the Waste Tracker app

Drivers and receivers can use the Waste Tracker app. To use the app, you'll need an Android or iPhone device and internet connection.

You can use the Waste Tracker app offline and the information will upload when you are next online. Please note, you will need internet access to upload data entered while offline and your device will need to be running at least iOS 11 or Android 8.

For your security, the Waste Tracker app can’t run on rooted or jailbroken devices. If you’d like to use the app on such a device, you’ll need to restore it to its factory settings. Otherwise, you can use the Waste Tracker portal via your web browser.

You can download the Waste Tracker app from the App Store or Google Play.

Using EPA's Portal

All other roles will access Waste Tracker through our Portal. Users need a web-enabled device such as a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or phone with a browser.

Waste Tracker will work with Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. It won’t work with Internet Explorer.

Create a Portal account

You’ll need an account in our Portal to use Waste Tracker which you can access from the link at the top right of the screen. To sign up, you'll need a unique email address.

Your login details can't be moved across from the old Waste Transport Certificate system to Waste Tracker. This is because of Waste Tracker’s security features.
